Chris Lasher
Chris Lasher works the trenches of research as a graduate student at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute in pursuit of a degree in the Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology program at Virginia Tech. His main research focuses on bacterial genomics Chris actively advocates the use of Python in bioinformatics, participates in Biopython, and currently heads the Software Carpentry group at VT, known as SWC@VT. In his free time, Chris enjoys playing various musical instruments, road cycling, and cooking.
