scipy.linalg.lapack.zpbtrf(ab, lower=0, ldab=ab.shape[0], overwrite_ab=0) = <flapack function zpbtrf>#

Compute the Cholesky factorization of a positive definite band matrix (LAPACK zpbtrf).

Parameters:
abndarray

The band of the matrix, shape (kd + 1, n): the order n and the bandwidth kd are both read off ab itself.

lowerint, optional

If nonzero, the lower triangle of a is referenced and the factor is lower triangular; otherwise the upper. Default is 0.

ldabint, optional

Leading dimension of ab. It must equal ab.shape[0]; the argument exists only because the .pyf exposed it. Default is ab.shape[0].

overwrite_abint, optional

If nonzero, ab may be overwritten in place. Default is 0.

Returns:
cndarray

The banded Cholesky factor, overwriting ab.

infoint

0 on success; if negative, the -info-th argument had an illegal value.
